I’ve just finished the Twitter list support, create a list (notifications is a good name), and add Twitter accounts like macrumors to it. Visit your Twitter settings page and activate Notify for lists. Within 15 minutes maximum (but usually faster) you’ll have a list of lists below it, check the list you want to receive push for.
Everytime someone from this list tweets about something, you’ll get live push (very instant, believe me).
